I saw them while I was sitting on the train heading for Leuven around 16u39 LT. Very unusual sight to see 2 Herc's flying that close to each other.

I did wonder why they were still flying in formation, that close on final, does anybody know how they land? (1 lands and the other does a go-around or something else...?)

I also saw them above Leuven around 11h30. Quite a sight I must say...

Training for the defence days in Bevekom (Beauvechain) is possible. After all, Bevekom is only less then 20 km from Leuven.

The formation was holding over "Bertem" and then came for a lowpass and landing at EBBR/EBMB.

I saw them taking off on the 25R when I was walking in the terminal. They took off with +- 10 seconds in between them

Those C-130s do crazy stuff. I remember seing one paralelling 25R, and then making a sharp 180 degree turn on final. That was scary, but he managed to do it.

Scary stuff for us but for them it's normal. In Africa they have to do this each day several times.
