BRU 12/08/2006

Post by Established02 »

So I went plane spotting for a few hours together with my little daughter, an activity which she passionately combined with flower and insect spotting.

I noticed how this FQ A320 landed on 25R. While previous aircraft were exiting the runway at a previous taxiway, this aircraft took the next one and ultimately came to a full stop, possibly cutting the engines. The aircraft had been standing there on the taxiway for 5+ minutes until a truck arrived to pull the aircraft all the way to the gate. I believe there must have been pax in the aircraft and so possibly the aircraft may have encountered some technical problems during this flight.

I noticed this "classic" van parked at brucargo.
It's interesting to see it still being painted in the old "World Airways" colours.

I'm surprised to see that -after introducing the new colours in 2003- quite many DHL aircraft are still painted in the old white colours.

So the flight got cancelled, but in what way would it have made sense to have a stop both at LGG and another one at BRU???

It looks like CX made a last(?) minute decision to drop the stop in MAN.

Second time this week that I see an SV 74F flight scheduled into BRU (and cancelled).

I noticed this one at Lufthansa Technik last Thursday. It may have left by now.

17:30-18:30 pictures of 25R final approaches:

All taken by me and my dad with the Canon EOs 350D with a Canon 30-300 lense with image stabelisation. Cropped and brightnes/darkens with Photoshop.
If anyone wants to know the story on the weird OO-MJE picture and on the completly bizarre SIA 744 pic: I wanted to make nose close-ups, it worked pretty well with OO-MJE, tough it was not quite what I intended to do, and with the SIA, my zoom was just way to high. They where just so bizarre that I couldn't resist putting them in. :D

Hi,

I noticed that specific aircraft too, what was taken my attention was the fact that the gear doors were open, that maybe can indicate a problem with the landing gear, but also the flaps where up when he stood there (I noticed the 320 a few minutes after he was landed, thus it could be that they already retracted it before shutting down the engines), what can indicate together with the gear doors, a hydraulic problem...
I'm curious what happend, anyway a few hours later I saw him towed probably to hangar 41...

Grts

Does anyone have the regs of the two Atlantic Airlines Lockheed Electra's that were parked on the DHL apron?

Thanx in advance.
