Delta Airlines ATL - BRU from B767-300 to B767-200

Delta Airlines ATL - BRU from B767-300 to B767-200
For the new winter timetable, Delta Airlines (DL) will decrease its airplane from ATL to BRU to a B767-200 instead of the B763.
For the NYC flight no changes, it will stay a B763.

From a spotters point of view, very interesting !Atlantis wrote:For the new winter timetable, Delta Airlines (DL) will decrease its airplane from ATL to BRU to a B767-200 instead of the B763
Though, the B762's are much older and (I guess) less comfortable for the pax. How many B762's are actually left in the DL fleet (as they're selling them to ABX which will use the planes as cvtd freighters)? I'm also not sure if DL's B762's are ETOPS certified...
Regards, Robin Bamps.
According to me they have at this moment 5 B762 pax aircrafts in their fleet.
The Delta site gave at this moment, f.e. november, still a B763 from ATL to BRU, but when I checked the winter timetable for 2006 - 2007 they gave a B762.
I expect the final decision in a couple of weeks.
Is there maybe someone who can gave the results of the ATL - BRU? Are they probably not so good?

For the 300th time Atlantis: make a new topic when you want to post news, instead of putting everything under one topic. Perhaps we can close all forums and make one big "Brussels"-topic?
You received several PMs of the webteam concerning this problem in the past few weeks.
For your info: DL has no active B762s. Their B762s are either in storage or sold (with several aicraft being converted to freighters or in the process of being converted).
@the moderators: can you split this topic into a new one please?
Regards
Frederic

Atlantis, are you sure your sources are up to date?
Maybe they will come with the B764?

As far as I know, their 767-200's have retired. On the most recent trip on Delta (May 06), their inflight magazine stated they only have B767-300 & -400. Also, went through the ATL hub twice on that roundtrip, and I didn't see any B767-200.mayhem wrote:yes indeed, and having the gulf airs is not a good thing...MD-11forever wrote:762 is the internal code at Delta for the ex-Gulf Air 763ERs. Maybe this is where the confusion is coming from?
As far as i know all 767-200 are out of, or will be put out of DL's fleet.

We booked flights BRU-ATL today, and the aircraft type says Boeing 767-200/200ER. The seat map is also different then from Delta's 763s. Could it be a codeshared flight?
EDIT: the flight info shows 767-300ER, but it leads to the -200 seat map. The printed flight info also says -200.

I think the B767-200's have left the Delta fleet. The flight shedules for winter still show the B767-300 so no change of equipment.
