BRU 24/06/2006

Post by lacrosse »

Hello All !

A quick loook at the BIAC.BE arrivals showed me something surprising (at least to me) ...
TAY8634 Arr Palermo 12:05 with a 142 !???
Back at 19:10 from Catania as TAY8668

What is the plane involved ?

And Hellas Jet in MD83 ? Is it British Jet ?

Happy spotting ! ;-)

The TAY 142 is our own Bae 142 who is now in service for a couple of months. TNT Airways is now flying at BRU with three planes: two B733 and a Bae 142.

Hope this will help.

The TNT Avro was OO-TAZ (ex Axis Airways btw). That one is flying in BRU every weekend since last month.

The Tunisair in his special Soccer c/s (TS-IMG) also visited around 11:30.

But the nicest surprise was SU-LBH, operating for Afriqiyah, a "new" A320 from Lotus Air, sporting an all white fuselage but with the Afriqiyah tail c/s stickered (and the sticker was already peeling off drastically).

For my picture:

Hi

Splendid weather today. Some nice traffic (most of them small planes but anyway...)

Me and some mates (among them Ivan and Jeroen) went to the SFA opendoors (Sabena Flight Academy).
Just like last year , warm welcome , free drinks and food :D (nice cake :P)
and in meantime we could spot a little. 2x SNBA 330's (OO-SFO and OO-???) in new colors passed us very close at the fence , on their way to TWY 41 , together with a AA 763 and CO 764 , later on the day we saw a MD-11F of Eva Air (B-1606) VERY CLOSE on his way to backtrack on RWY 25L.

We could also spot some nice smaller planes like the Afriqiyah (well...nice... ) , TNT BAe 146 , 2x TNT 733 , Delta's , (note!!! Also two Lockeed 188 'Elektra's' on Apron 3 --- Air Atlantique) , and Tunis air special cls.
Then we continued toworths RWY 25L where we were just in time to spot Asiana Cargo B747-400F HL 7422.
And last but not least , Tunisair A300-600R TS-IPC (special cls) right overhead us VERY low at RWY 25L (think he was a little to low).

And of course we could fly the B737-200Adv :D:P

Hope some nice pics will follow , am very curious.

Best regards: Yannick ;)

Do you have more info on the leased planes for Thomas Cook this summer? Will these Dutchies operate the whole summer for them?

The dutchies are flying because one of the FQ ( I think OO-TCN ) has technical problems.

No this time it was not OO-TCN with problems, because this plane flew in the morning to Bodrum (on time) and in the afternoon this plane performed the heavily delayed Almeria flight!

The only plane I didn't saw flying was OO-TCK, so I guess this was the technical one.

In the afternoon we had Martinair and Transavia flying for Thomas Cook,
but the Martinair A320 had also some problems.
After it was pushed, plane stood there for about 15min, taxied to the runway and after 10 min I saw coming back to gate A67.

Today also a lot of delays with Thomas Cook.

Summer is only starting, and the problems are already rising!!

Hi all,

Actually TCK wasn't the only Thomas Cook with problems. TCM also went technical somewhere in Europe and TCJ was 'standing' in Zagreb. TCN was one of the few planes that actually flew that day. And the summer season still has to begin...
