EBBR 2005 Update

Post by tommeke84 »

Hello,

It has been quite some time that you've heard something about us. However, Thomas recently picked up the project again and found some new texturing techniques. Taxilights have been placed as well, but no 3D poles yet. As you might imagine, their should be over a 1.000 of these light on the entire airfield, and placing them 1 by 1 would be insane.

We're having most difficulties with the ground textures, the areal photo of Brussels Airport that we're using. Brucargo has been Thomas' experimental zone, and this is what we've reached so far.

As you can see, there are still quite some modifications that need to be done, but the groundtextures should give you a good idea about our goal of quality. All for free :-)

Enjoy the pics, and be PATIENT!

Those ground textures look impressive indeed. Really sincere congratulations for al the patience you guys are displaying in developping this project.
When do you expect to be able to release it?

Kind regards,

Well done guys, keep up the good work, maybe in near future we won't see the difference between a real pic & FS pic of EBBR tarmac.

It will get an award for being the best freeware of the year and become the hottest download of 2006. It can just be named Photoreal Brussels airport.

What about the destroyed hangar 40? Will it be removed or will the building stay?

Looks magnificent! I so hope it will be compatible with the upcomming FSX! It should...!

BTW: If you really want to go into detail, why not model a couple of luchtzak-spotters at the 25L approach? :D

Omag

Fearing his PC won't be FSX compatible... at all!

you are a spotter 8O :wow: do you have a camera?

do you send your shots to A.net?
 I had a good opportunity to spot the best contrails but i had no camera at the camp at the time we went to see the aurora colors in the sky then a plane passed in the colors and made a contrail 8O which was the best thing that got in my sight at the camp. if i had a camera and captured it it could have been on charts on A.net

on-topic

maybe Fokker fs27 should be in scenery with Omag and other luchtzak spotters
