Easy Jet and its fleet - a question
Hello,
I`d like to know whether EasyJet is going to replace ALL of its 737-300s fleet with -700 version? If yes, by when would all 300s be replaced?
Thanks for your help. Regards.

Here is what I have just found in "Airliner World" for May 2006 :
"easyJet continues to fly a mix of Boeing 737-700 and Airbus A319 models. Over the coming years, many of the older Boeings will be retired from service, but the airline has not ruled out adding more Boeings in the future.
It has now 110 aircraft and will take delivery of 27 A319 during 2006."

That data ius probably very reliable. When I did a google-seach I came up with the followong results :
The easyJet fleet consists of the following aircraft (at February 2006):
62 Airbus A319-100* (further 78 on order)
15 Boeing 737-300
32 Boeing 737-700
As you can see, this data was updated February 2006. So the 12 for the 733 is probably a very reliable number as some 733's will have been replaced by now.
Hope this answers your question.

So, if you say they have 70 A319s, I assume they have less than 12 300s by now? I think their old planes are to be replaced with new A319s...
As for the data presented in Airfleets... the problem is that whenever I look at them, they are still the same. At least for easyjet. They were the same last year, they are the same now... So I don`t consider them to be up to date...

As I said before, the a319's are not pure replacements. The -300's will be fased out slowely (when leases expire?), but the airbusses are used mainly for expansion...CLW_aviator wrote:So, if you say they have 70 A319s, I assume they have less than 12 300s by now?
