I´d a overnight in Halbergmoos, "Airport-Hotel", because MUC airport is built in the middle of no-where.
Woke up on saturday, 17th of may quarter past five, had a short shower and two cups of coffee than it was time to move to the airport. A young guy who missed last evening his LH flight to FRA joined "m" shuttle service, too and told me how expensive this 98 EUR return trip was now for him, because of the missed flight, which was the mistake of the train transportation (MVV) but LH didn´t care
Well, I was early on the airport with plenty of time (quarter past six) because nearly nobody was on the shared SN/LX counter (but a huge queue threw the hall at all DBA counters nearby).
So only one of the three shared LX/SN counter where opened and indicated on the monitor SN Brussels Business class (no LX flights early saturday morning to ZRH anymore ....) I moved there quickly and chck-in procedure was very quick, too (nice girl, this time she checked my passport as well, I esimted because she had nearly nothing to do, latest check-in time for our, so her only good morning flight was ten minutes before 7 and I was there 45 minutes efore seven asked me aisle or window for both flights then I moved threw security also quickly and I was asked if I have a laptop with me which I negotiated, had one coffee which didn´t taste like coffee, colored water would be the right .... ten minutes before 7 (latest check-in time as well) they began boarding SN2650 MUC-BRU, first it seemed that boarding procedure (bus gate) would be quickly but wasn´t due to many missing pax.
Ok than the bus braught us to our Avro - RJ 100 OO-DWI which was reflecting the early morning light. It indicated a wonderful day, cold but sunny and no wind.
When we entered the plane the female stewardess said to everyone "Guten Morgen" well during the flight I had gotten the feeling that she must be genious, because french english and german sound that perfect, I think dutch, too, but I´ve no enough knowledge about this language.
Moved to my place 16A (left side window far away from the enginees). Short time later the capitain anounced that we where waiting for some pax which came a few minutes later (I think one was still missing because some outside guys went away with one piece of luggage which might belong to the missing pax).
Capitain started the enginees ad the security anouncment was done - one male steward and the girl - on the taxiway (long in munich) we had not to wait only one lonly LH airbus came behind us and the capitain anounced, departure in 85 seconds *wow* - Jumbolino started not like a space shuttle but rapid and due to the wonderful weather I could see the whole skyline of "Kreis München" - 07:20 a.m.
Short time after they braught us some juice or water, I choosed the orange juice and first they began to serve the food in the business class. Our flight time was expected one hour and five minutes which was announced. After BUS the served us our breakfast, first croissant and afterwards a tasteful cheesde sandwich (Gouda). This time I had two coffee and one additional orange juice. When we reached flight level I saw it was cloudy so I couldn´t see our whole flight route. Descent to Brussels was a little bit bumpy, but I love this, doesn´t matter too much we where served our complementary chocolate, I choosed Neuhaus Milk chocolate which I like more than the dark one. Landing in Brussels was smooth and the female flight attendant announced quattro lingual that we land ten minutes early ! and of course welcomed us to Brussels. Oh nearly I would have forgotten that while descent to Brussels she announced our connections, we had Goethebourg, Newcastle, Nice and Vienna (me !).
Never seen and airport where a connection is THAT easy, we had our gate A61 and my flight to Vienna was announced A64 so a connection time of ten minutes would have been more than enough but I had more than an hour. Even the duty free shop wasn´t open yet, looked a little bit arround than it was nine and I went nto baught tasteful belgium chocolate and a sixpack Stella
Even I have not my Privilege card yet it was possible to type into my number (Miles !!!!!!), moved to the coffee bar and ordered a Café creme and had gotten the same you normally get in Nice or switzerland (normal people call it Capuccino without cacao powder but it is exactly this what I liked to have (much more tasteful than the coloured water in MUC).
A few cigarettes after the boarded my flight to vienna - no bus boarding so I have no registration - SN2901 17 MAY (RJ85) boarding time0930 and pushback should be 0955 ( I had no watch so I cannot tell you if it was early but I think so).
My seat was 11A so nearby the enginees like on the first leg juice was served but good frozen (even with ice). this time the female stewardess wasn´t that perfect quatro lingual but she could also all three languages but it sounded like all three with accent (could be). We had gotten two thon (thunfish) sandwiches like my last flight from BRU to MUC (this time it was BRU-VIE), one drink and coffee or tea, because the flighttime was much more longer (estimated one hour 45 minutes) the served also a big cake to the coffee before gt around with complementary chocolate.
I have no clue where we were when I saw the ground first time but it didn´t look like Salzburg or Bavarian it was flat all around then came a greater wood (Wiener Wald ? wood nearby vienna or czech ?) and what I saw last meanwhile descent to vienna was - 2 bigger train stations and 2 cementaries than I saw OMV which is placed nearby the airport of vienna (Schwechat, lower austria) and funny enough while we had our final descent my relevants where exactly and parallel on the street nearby me. Landing was like the first leg also 10 minutes early ! GREAT !
Jumbolino.
Well, due to my relevants (and my father in law) here in Vienna (better Baden bei Wien) not the as long as possible report and I´ve forgotten to mention "Yes, SNBA has a weekly newspaper" and we had gotten one on every flight
and while waiting for my connection I saw an Avroliner from Malmoe Aviation in BRU, never seen such a plane (airline) before naturally and of course both SNBA flights had AA flightnumber too (on the BRU-VIE leg they mentioned it very often SN Brussels airlines and American Airlines welcomes you on board and ........)
