A first for Jat : B767-200ER coming to Belgrade in March

Post by Galemos4 »

Jat will for the first time after the retainment of its DC10 have a wide body aircraft. The aircraft 767-2Q8 CN 24448 (ex N330LF , Polet ntu) flew Shannon – Nimes on March 9th. It is currently being painted in Jats livery. Another surprise might lurk – It is not exactly sure which livery will be added – the small Jat Airways titles or the new livery. Jat Airways starts services with the aircraft on May 17th on route Belgrade (Nikola Tesla) – New York (JFK). Following that in June 2006 Jat starts route Belgrade – Toronto. Jat’s director also said he is hoping that Jat will start services to Chicago by the end of the year with a second B767

Don't know if it will happen as there is going to be a mass expansion of curent Serbian airlines in BEG.

Air Charter airline, Air Pink is said to expand with actual scheduled flights with larger aircraft.

Aviogenex is said to be leasing some B733 and B734's to commence flights from BEG and INI.

Montenegro Airlines is wanting to expand from BEG to european destinations.

JAT will keep expanding, and yes ORD is a big possibility, and SIN will follow next year if the flights are launched successfully.

I’m not sure if they actually got one yet. The first flight is scheduled for March 26 when the summer season starts.
