Center blocks? Their names?

Hello. Not sure who would have the answer for this, but I was interested in finding the center block for latest news and downloads/links that are used here as they are quite nice. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

A fine job indeed. I have searched all over for something similar in an effort to reduce front page clutter on my site as well as speed up the load time.
I find that the bigger the stories, the slower the load

I assume you also created the links/download block as well?
Can you suggest a place I can look to learn the proper coding to pull the info, or would you be willing to share this block?
