Hello guys
Since 3 weeks I'm a tourism student at the KHM in Mechelen.
We've got very interesting subjects such as economy, languages (French, English & German) and of course tourism. Tourism is split up in cruises&ferries, train transport, aviation, autocar tourism, tourism organization, guiding techniques, ...
And about aviation & train transport is my question.
In fact I'm looking for one or all of these books:
- OAG Guide: it's a kind of phone guide with all flights all over the world. It's published every month by OAG.
- TIM: Travel Information Manual. It's smaller than the OAG and it contains information of every country about customs: do I need an international passport when I'm travelling to France? Do I need a visa when I'm travelling to Turkey? etc... It's also published every month.
Those were guides about aviation. Now the next one, Thomas Cook Railways Timetable is, as the name already says, not about aviation.
- The Thomas Cook Railways Timetable is split up in an European issue and an Overseas issue. The European is published every month, the overseas is published every 6 months.
If you have one or all of these guides, and you don't use them anymore, I can assure you they will be used again! It hasn't to be the last new edition, it would be better of course, but I just need them to get used with the guides. And the "docent" expect we can use these guides... so....
I hope someone can help me with this.
Thanks in advance!

both the oag and the tim are updated every month (as you said). Why don't you go to a travel agent and ask to have the outdated version? The problem might be that lots of agents will not have a hardcopy any longer as they can get the info on computer thru their reservations system. The info will be more accurate as it is available in real time.

hey 744rules & sn26567
I already went to travel agents in the neighbourhood, that's why I try it here
We have 3 travel agents in our village, and only one of them sells tickets. One of the two others didn't know that something like that existed...
And the travel agent which sells & issues tickets, said they hadn't an old copy...
