On National Geographic channel : Shootdown of a DHL Airbus

Post by Bilboone »

On Sunday 19 Feb on National Geographic channel there is the second episode of the new serie of Aircrash investigation.
The episode is about the shootdown of the DHL A300B4 OO-DLL above Baghdad, where the crew did an incredible job by returning and land ( no crash land) the A/C to the airport in one piece.

By the way if you are interested to lease or to buy the A300, you can 8O

Yes indeed the Airbus is repaired in a state to ferryflight it out Baghdad and to replace a part of the wing from rib 9 to the wingtip.
After the repair it will undergo all checks to sell the aircraft.

More info and pictures will follow... stay tuned

@ Killerwhale:

The last response in the topic you mention was already one week ago, it's not a shame when someone didn't see it, and it is not the first time I see you mention (on a moderator's way although you aren't one) to a topic you started, do I smell some egocentrism over here???????

sorry, i was just reminding this and following the rules. Many people complain when there are double postings. No need to get harsh.

Sorry , no hard feelings killerwhale65 but this topic is about OO-DLL,
where I mention it is on Nat G channel.
I have more info about this aircraft and soon I will post it
in this topic, because the topic you mentioned is totally NOT about the DHL airbus.

I will certainly watch it.

It's always something special for me to hear about OO-DLL, as I've been inside that plane and stood next to it a few months before the crash......

Indeed, but since Bilboone has more info specific on OO-DLL, I suggest we keep this topic open and dedicated to this specific crash. While yours Killerwhale will also stay open since it's the overall schedule. There is indeed a small overlap, but it's better if we discuss a specific crash in a dedicated topic.

now back to topic ;)
