Can someone explain the codes used please?according to belgacontrol the flight is ABX90 arriving from KILN
KOK at 1240
KERKY at 1248
I understand these are the navigation radio stations used to guide the plane to Brussels. I presume KOK is Koksijde, but what is KERKY?
What other stations are used and how can you get the list of navigation stations used for a specific flight?
Thanks on beforehand.

Hi Jense,
Well no, I was studying and was so concentrated that I totally forgot to have a look at the DC-8
. That's why I missed it.
I can see 02 arrivals but it's slightly more difficult as they turn right 90° before KERKY, which is about 45-60 seconds before they pass in front of my house.
Regards
Frederic

Some good traffic today:
N811AX DC8-60 ABX Air
5X-BON DC10 DAS Air Cargo
PH-MCL B763 Martinair
YL-RAD An26 Raf-Avia
F-GIXR B733F Europe Airpost (all white)
TC-JM? A321 Turkish Airlines
The SAS-flight that landed a couple of minutes ago, is operated by a A321. I don't know of this is already common in BRU. Someone has the reg of that plane, please?
Still to come:

The 2 and 3-character idents (OO, KOK, COA, ONO, ...) are physical radio stations (VOR or NDB). The ones with 3 characters are more powerful than those with 2 characters (which are generally used for airport approach only)
The 5-character idents (DENUT, KERKY, ...) are fixes of coordinates, there is no radio installation on those points.
The idents with numbers in it are generally used in flight management computers as part of approach procedures, don't expect to hear those during atc-aircraft communication.

Sebas
