With all those new destinations, any chance they'll be getting an additional plane?

There is only one Dalmatian island with international airport on Brac island. And there can land only one jetliner type and it is BAe-146 or any propliner. So this destination can not be served by TUI Airlines Belgium.

Maybe SNBA will oprate this charter flight?

Any chance a Fokker 100 can land there? They do have one.

Rijeka airport is also located on an island and not on the mainland.

I think that SNBA will take some of those new destinations with their smaller Bae's or Avro's. They have the perfect equipment for those airports. And of course TUI itselfs with their F100. Was there not a chance that TUI get's two F100 instead of one??

Rijeka airport is on the island of Krk. But Krk island is not Dalmatian island. Dalmatia is a region between Zadar and Dubrovnik only, it is not the whole Croatian coastline.

No, Fokker F-100 can not land at Brac island airport. There was a Tyrolean Airways who wanted to fly to Brac Island with F-70 but it was repaced with DHC-8 due to bad runway performances. You can visit web-pages of the airport: http://www.airport-brac.hr/

That's great!!!

I think this must be the first international airline to serve the airport. The Egyptian authorities decided to upgrade the airport for international arrivals this summer so I guess that's bearing fruit...

At the moment the airport only gets one scheduled service by Egyptair to Cairo but that's only during the summer (3 weekly A320 flights)

Just a small point, are you sure it isn't MARSA ALAM? The latter has gained a lot of popularity in the past 18 months. http://www.marsa-alam-airport.com/ That airport is located on the Red Sea a few hundred kms from Hurghada.

If indeed it is Marsa Metruh, I would of thought the tour operators/TUI would have chosen to serve the brand new airport of Al-Alamein rather than Marsa Metruh if they wanted to serve the North Meditterranean coast...

@Airmemphis,

It's indeed Marsa Matruh. They will go via the airport El Alamein.
