Hi guys
I wanted to start a topic about the Herpa shops in Belgium.
I used to buy my aircraft models in Brussels but the two shops closed. The ones close to the Marché aux herbes. I also went to Ostende from time to time but they closed too.
My question is, where in the world do you buy them? I m a bit hopeless since all the shops I used to go to are now closed.
I d like to extend my collection but I can't.
Thank you all
Laurent

Hello
There are several shops like Killerwhale 65 already said in your reach. I heard there is / or was one at 'De Haan to'.
And for the case you might pass Antwerp once. You can buy them there too.
There is one at the 'Eierenmarkt 31a' too (Herman Verschooten) , than you have the 'Baillien' hobbyshop at the 'Turnhoutse baan' in Antwerp too, (at least I think they have Herpa models etc...didn't went there yet , but am planning to do it soon , and there are models everywhere in front of the window , so...). It's in the beginning of the 'Turnhoutse baan' if you just come of the highway E313, and from the direction of Berchem. (notice this shop is splitted in two parts , the first part (airplane models?) is at the left in the beginning of the 'Turnhoutse baan' if you come from the direction I mentioned , and the other part is maybe 200-300m further on your right. Think it's an extension of the shop.
And you can , as many people do more and more currently , ordering at shops all around the world. A popular one is than the LHS Luchtvaart Hobby Shop at Amsterdam (Molenweg)---close to the airport , you can reach it quick from the spotters place there. You can order at the LHS for 10EUR per shipment. Notice!!!!! You better order 2 or more planes in one time , because the price is the same. My cousin ordered two planes (A380 1:200 and C-5B 1:400) and paid 10EUR instead of 20EUR normally said. BUt I don't know how far they are going. If you order 5 or more planes you might have to pay more anyway , I shouldn't know. But I would advise you to order at least two planes than.
Best regards: Yannick

There is very good shop in Aalst...mail me to know the address, as I don't want to make any publicity here!
The shop in Aalst always have the latest aircrafts from Herpa (scale 1/500).
Before I also went to Brussels, but the best shop is closed now. The other is moved now (closer to station "Brussel Centraal").
Another option: check the site wwW.herpa.de When you want to order an aircraft go to the shop in Brussels (for example). Normally they will order it for you....
And of course: the BEST shop is in the airport of Amsterdam....take an good Visa-card with you, as it is difficult to choose 8O

Just a little addition to the shop in Aalst:
Order first! They take preorders and even give you a call when your planes 'have landed'.
Since a few months they don't take in too much stock anymore.
Big advantage in Aalst over the internet-stuff: if you don't like the plane when you see it.. you don't have to take it! Great people and always ready to help.
