so many inactive members

Post by C_J »

I was going through Luchtzak's endless memberlist and I noted that there are so many members which have 0 posts. Who are all those people? Why are they member if they are never active?

Possible...
Well these people don't seem to have an opinion or don't want to share it.

Indeed only 11% of the members have posted at least 1 message in the forums, many of our members don't like to say something in the forums but want to read all the latest messages posted in the forums. Other register to visit the downloads-area. I think 11% is a good figure compared to other forums.

I think that's the same case in many forums - some people do not have the time to post and prefer only to read - even more so if there is a download area available like here.

I also know some forums where many people do not want to post because there company watches out for this - so they just read and comment via private messages to people they know...

Regards, Bernhard

Well personally I think that the download section should only be available for the members who participate to the daily life of this community!

Those who don't are just free-riders! They get the benefit without the "pain" which in my opinion is very unfair :(

Here everybody is a free-rider. On A.net, you have to pay to participate in the forums.

Some members also enjoy reading the daily aviation news and so be aware on what's going on in the wide aviation world.

Older members can go by the grandfather clause and continue posting without having paid a membership fee.

Recent members (sonce two years or so) have first to pay a membership fee of $25 before tey can start posting.
