Spotters Day at Beauvechain for farewell to Alpha Jets

Post by sn26567 »

The First Wing of the Air Component of the Belgian Army at Beauvechain organises tomorrow (Thursday) an international meeting for training planes. It will also be the farewell to the Belgian Alpha Jets, which will be based at Vazaux (France) from the end of September.

A spotters day will take place from 9:30 to 16:00, at a cost of €20 (€10 for children less than 12 year old).

Access: Door 3 on road from Wavre to Jodoigne.

I am not into Military aviation, but will the Alpha Jet leave the BAF for good?

The planes will be based at Cazaux in France. The BAF and FAF will work together for the training of new pilots. At the longer end Belgium is expected to join a larger collaboration, called the European Training School.
