I think the A343 would be the best replacement here

No, the 773ER would be the best replacement as well as a mix of 744F and 772LRF for Cargo operations

I think the fact that El Al has been a Boeing customer since start of service in 1948, and that all their flight crews. training facilities, simulators, ground handling equipment, and technical stores, are all geared to Boeing aircraft.

It would not be a sound financial decision to change unless they intend to make a mass change in equipment.

El Al may be a potential 747ADV Customer??????

You are correct bits44! Israel has very close ties with the US and I wouldn't be surprised if they renew their 742 with 777's or other Boeing aircrafts. The US pumps so much money into Israel every year that there is a lot of reciprocal agreement and trade between both nations.

absolutely.
The A343 would make no sense indeed:they operate the 772ER which is more efficient than the A343
