Has the area to post comments on news been taken off? I was going to post a comment and saw that there was no space to post one :(

Recently a hacker has posted spam in the comments area of a lot of topics of the latest news. Therefore the comment area has been temporarily closed.

Comet,

comments on articles are currently disabled, I discovered a new form of spam: people register and give non-related and non-aviation 'comments' on an article. In fact those comments are loaded with links to their websites. Saturday I had to remove about 75 of those useless comments.

I am thinking on how to prevent this.

Thanks for the answers. I had just wanted to add an update comment to one of the pieces about the BA strikes and also a comment about the Gatwick SNBA slots.

Couldn't the post a comment thing be set not to accept URLs? That might help stop people posting spam.

Why don't you open a forum topic on these issues?
