Those were the days... Flying long haul with a great airline with planes with a superb livery and in my favourite plane.
This is made from a pic I made on final approach in Orlando on our way to Miami. This was sept. '99 ( 2 days after MIA was closed because of hurricane Floydd ) In '98 and 2000 we flew to the sunshine state with B767 from CTB. But the MD-11 was awesome... Therefore my nickname and avatar.

PS.: Note the shadow on the ground...

The MD-11 is a graet plane.

I have never understood why they closed the construction line so early ?

Especially as the plane is economical.

For the 757 that have waited 2 years and they are still not sure when they will close it.

Concerning the MD-11 the decisions went very fast, snif, snif...

The only future left for the MD11 is as freighter I'm afraid
