Royal Jordanian Flight Info

Post by rutgertijmen »

Don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I was wondering which aircraft RJ operates on its domestic flights between Amman and Aqaba.

Do they use their own aircraft or is there some kind of regional airliner that operates these flights?

The flight concerning is RJ 3800. It leaves Amm at 7 AM.

Their website says DH8, that's a Bombardier Dash 8.

But if you look at their fleet, they only have some A340-200/A310-300/A321 and A320

The service is flown by Royal Wings Dash 8.

Just out of interest, when I checked amadeus it shows that Royal Wings currently have 3x weekly AMM-Alexandria/ALY (Egypt) flights with DH8 (DHC-8-300). From 31/10/05 the service becomes 5x weekly but with DH4s....

What is a DH4? I think it's a Dash DHC-8-400Q BUT Royal Wings only have DHC-8-300s and AFAIK they haven't ordered the DHC-8-400Q.

Have a look here for one version of the DH4. Doesn't look like it can hold too many passengers

would be a fantastic adventure, but I don't think the demand is that low for that frequency!!! Probably a fault on their website.

Did a little search on the net, the DH4 is De Havilland Canada DHC-8-400 Dash 8Q.
