Yes, but I like to read about aircraft as well as look at pictures of them.

Would be great... But I would expect he wants a return on the hard work he has put into making this great book, and wants people to actually buy the book.

Be curious always, for knowledge will not acquire you, you must acquire it

Expecting returns is good but then we have to be not just practical in life, but promote goodwill and cheer also.

For me and several other aviation readers of Belgian related stories the latest John Pacco book on SN was a great disappointment!
On every page (!) grammar or/and orthography faults are included (why no checks?) Pictures used were seen in many previous publications and thus no additional information whas given.
Text was copied from different sources including the errors made by others in the past! No research was done by the author to present something 'new' to the interested reader. In my personal opinion it was a missed opportunity...

Dear Bart,
You have strongly recommended this book and yes please reply to what skymaster has to say, cos if what he says is true, then it will be a great disappointment for international fans of Sabena like us.

Indeed Advisor, I recommended the book after an e-mail of the author. Maybe you can send him an e-mail @ johnpacco@tiscali.be to invite him in this topic to give his opinion.

I am sorry for my late reply. It was a great work (2 ½ years) to realise this important book. I wrote it in Flemish and French because it was a Belgian company and I thank the persons who help me to realise it, so well for the research as for the 175 photos (from Sabena and from private collections). Many people who get this book appreciated it, some not.

I bought the book last weekend at Makro, at 23€. It is indeed a very pourly translated dutch that we find there.

Mr. Pacco says he wrote the book in dutch and french... but i'm sure that most of the dutch text was translated from french by a machine or by someone who doesn't speak dutch at all. In some parts you can still read 'our company', which to my opinion indicates that he just made a copy-paste from existing documents from Sabena.

Actually, Mr. Pacco ows all these people an apology for such a poor job and should do a rework asap and offer this fully revised version for free to all those who bought the first edition.
