"Life is better with A380 !" - Definetaly yes ! :D
Do you know the take-off weight of the last flights.
If I remember correctly, they started with 420 tons
and then 520 on the second flight. Max. weight should
be 560 tons, right ?

Hello MrAirbus, do you know when exactly the root proving will begin
for the A380 ? Should be somewhere early next year, right ?

Not sure but I will go for:

4Fh/Cy: 4 flight hours per cycle
root proving: structural wing test till break point

Seb.

"Root Proving" is a flight trial where the new A380 (with fully equipped cabin)
will be tested. On this root proving flights passengers are on board (mainly
Airbus employees).

A388, Are you sure about that?
I buy HorsePower's explaination, i saw the test being conducted on the 777 on TV and i dont think passengers will find it very pleasant :D

Guys, I think what A380-800 is trying to talk about is 'route' proving, not 'root' proving. Maybe that'll clear up a few things...
