A380 flight figures test which might be of interest :
7 flights as of this week with a little over 4Fh/Cy
max speed flown .89
max ceiling flown 43kft
fuel burn better than expected
And manymore good news to come.....

Do you know the take-off weight of the last flights.
If I remember correctly, they started with 420 tons
and then 520 on the second flight. Max. weight should
be 560 tons, right ?

Hello MrAirbus, do you know when exactly the root proving will begin
for the A380 ? Should be somewhere early next year, right ?

Not sure but I will go for:
4Fh/Cy: 4 flight hours per cycle
root proving: structural wing test till break point

I am veru sure that date vas set but since SIA says that the delivery is delayd I realy dont know!
However there will be in the newt half of 2006, thats for sure!

"Root Proving" is a flight trial where the new A380 (with fully equipped cabin)
will be tested. On this root proving flights passengers are on board (mainly
Airbus employees).

A388, Are you sure about that?
I buy HorsePower's explaination, i saw the test being conducted on the 777 on TV and i dont think passengers will find it very pleasant

Guys, I think what A380-800 is trying to talk about is 'route' proving, not 'root' proving. Maybe that'll clear up a few things...
