Hi all,

I have just found this intro-forum and would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. As my fav. airport suggests I live in Berlin, Germany. My profession is IT stuff and in the past years I was lucky to travel around like every month - mostly by plane. If you have questions about Berlin, TXL etc dont hesitate to ask!

So, some of you might have found me already as the die-hard-environmentalist, but if so I would not join this forum (saying particulary hi to B744skipper :-). I just like planes and taking pictures of them. I also have some small tech background because my father used to be mechanic for Air Berlin beginning of the 80s.

PS. lastrow: I love to sit in the last row, right window of especially B777s or B747s where the fuslage narrows a bit a so you can peek a little bit backwards!
PPS. my next filght will be boring: June 8th from TXL to MUC with DI (deutsche BA)

I do not think that you are a die-hard-environmentalist, but regarding the environment my opinion usually defers from what seems to be "common knowledge". But that discussion does not belong here. :wink:

I absolutely love the city of Berlin, having visited in 1994, 2002 and in 2004 (but then only for the ILA and I did not get of the airport then). My mom used to live in the Western part from 1979 until 1983 and did fly alot in and out of town back in those days. But I was not even born back then, so that was just a side note. :wink:

Anyway, I give you a warm welcome to this site, and I hope that you really will enjoy yourself overhere. :thumbsup2:

thx for the many replies. as my name goes both are OK for me: lastrow and michael. just wanted to have a more personal welcome message.

And, yes. sitting in the last row and you can watch the vapor trails (as my avatar picture shows)

@b744skipper: thx for your nice welcome. are u planning to come to ILA 2006?

and thanks to MD-11 for his Air-Berlin 738 ... very interesting thing is that the TXL tower is outline in the drawing. Good work!
