Its amazing to see how well twin engined planes have evolved these past years. Congratulaions to Boeing for this great acheivement. Even though I still prefer 4 ENGINES 4 LONGHAUL. IF I ever had the choice of flying on the B747, A380, A340, or the A330/A350, B777, 787 I would chose the quads any day.

Have you not heard of ETOPS (Extended Twin Engine Operations), that legally allows twin jet planes to fly further from the nearest alternate airport in case of an emergency, like an engine out or such like!
It is more economical to fly twin jets rather than quads & maybe safer as well!
