BMA is limited to ICAO Code B aircraft (similar to LCY), thus basically the A318 is the largest aircraft authorised to operate at BMA.sn47031 wrote:Can an Airbus replace the Avro in BMA?

Re: Replacement of Brussels Airlines' Boeing & Avro RJ fleet
I read some time ago on this thread that only 3 Q-400 will still operate for SN as of this Sunday (summer timetable).
I guess they will serve Hannover, Birmingham, Strasbourg, Turin and maybe, partly, Bologna, Florence and Hamburg.
If I remember correctly, Edinburgh will switch to Avro, Bilbao to Airbus, Bristol to ERJ145 leased from BMI.
Any other change?

And why do you post that in this item on the forum?Lysexpat wrote:Flew with FR to Rome and back last week:

Hybrid colour scheme... The top fuse is the wrong colour white, and the wings are grey iso white. But it actually looks better.brusselsairlinesfan wrote:Nice pic, if you ask me'siwtme wrote:First picture of Brussels Airlines newest Airbus a320(painted): http://www.flickr.com/photos/41134041@N06/13474533963
Re: Replacement of Brussels Airlines' Boeing & Avro RJ fleet
Skyliner has a note about future OO-SSE (A319, C/N 2700, delivered to to Frontier in 2006 and after that to Bahrain Air in 2008, stored by GECAS in february 2013): "acc flt 04apr14 OSR-ZRH-OSR after paint, M-reg prior delivery"
It was already mentionned in this topic that this one would come to SN, but anyone with more information on when exactly it will come to BRU, as it's painted now (full paint already or just a full white paint for the time being?)?
Edit: I just saw on airfleets.net that OO-SSF (another ex-Frontier, ex-Bahrain Air A319) is shown with an EIS date of 01/07/2014, while OO-SSE is shown as "due". So is that of OO-SSF somehow accurate and what's the expectation of OO-SSE?

Re: Replacement of Brussels Airlines' Boeing & Avro RJ fleet
How many Q400 still in the fleet of SN?
Also in the new time table on some destination it looks like BMI will be flying in europe as well for SN, how many ERJ145 will be flying for SN then?

Re: Replacement of Brussels Airlines' Boeing & Avro RJ fleet
This summer, 3 Q400 and 1 ERJ-145.

Re: Replacement of Brussels Airlines' Boeing & Avro RJ fleet
Are there any plans to paint it in their livery, possibly by means of just some stickers?
Re: Replacement of Brussels Airlines' Boeing & Avro RJ fleet
A little Brussels Airlines sticker (like the one on OE-LGC) on one or both sides is possible but no full livery as the lease of the ERJ-145 is for this summer season only.
Re: Replacement of Brussels Airlines' Boeing & Avro RJ fleet
Currently there are 4 Q400s: G-ECOH, G-ECOI and G-ECOK from Flybe and the Austrian one OE-LGC.Airbus A330 wrote:This summer, 3 Q400 and 1 ERJ-145.
Any idea which one will leave and when ?
Re: Replacement of Brussels Airlines' Boeing & Avro RJ fleet
There were 4 Q400's from Flybe and the one from Tyrolean/Austrian. Two Flybe Q400's already left, their 2 year contract ended at the end of the winter season (so end of March).Konus wrote:Currently there are 4 Q400s: G-ECOH, G-ECOI and G-ECOK from Flybe and the Austrian one OE-LGC.Airbus A330 wrote:This summer, 3 Q400 and 1 ERJ-145.

Re: Replacement of Brussels Airlines' Boeing & Avro RJ fleet
However, all 3 Flybe ones are still flying for SN every day as reported by Konus hereabove.
Re: Replacement of Brussels Airlines' Boeing & Avro RJ fleet
Maybe a stupid question, but what's the reason this aircraft is currently in Ostrava? Is it there for painting?
Re: Replacement of Brussels Airlines' Boeing & Avro RJ fleet
Maintenance maybe? And where was it stored by GECAS before preparations for SN, also in Ostrova?Inquirer wrote:Maybe a stupid question, but what's the reason this aircraft is currently in Ostrava? Is it there for painting?
Re: Replacement of Brussels Airlines' Boeing & Avro RJ fleet
According to Skyliner :Inquirer wrote:Maybe a stupid question, but what's the reason this aircraft is currently in Ostrava? Is it there for painting?
AS far as I can read this, after being painted, it flew to ZRH and back. No idea why it went to Zurich. I assume the aircraft is now being prepared at OSR for delivery to SN.acc flt 04apr14 OSR-ZRH-OSR after paint, M-reg prior delivery
