Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
Transavia has opened bookings for Summer 2026, with the main news being the crew base.
However, no changes have been made, except the removal of Greek destinations and so far no French destinations :
Alicante (8), Malaga (8), Ibiza (5), Marrakech (5), Tenerife (5), Faro (4), Seville (3), Agadir (2), Bari (2).

They're looking for B737 pilots/instructors, but will be "converted to A320 within the next 6 years"lumumba wrote: 18 Sep 2025, 00:03Still flying the A320?Miqvell wrote: 17 Sep 2025, 22:20 Transavia has opened bookings for Summer 2026, with the main news being the crew base.

I think lumumba was talking about the wet-leased A320's from Avion Express that were in BRU this summer.Miqvell wrote: 18 Sep 2025, 19:14They're looking for B737 pilots/instructors, but will be "converted to A320 within the next 6 years"lumumba wrote: 18 Sep 2025, 00:03Still flying the A320?Miqvell wrote: 17 Sep 2025, 22:20 Transavia has opened bookings for Summer 2026, with the main news being the crew base.

Got it but I guess not since they're hiring Boeing pilots.Lux_avi wrote: 19 Sep 2025, 10:34I think lumumba was talking about the wet-leased A320's from Avion Express that were in BRU this summer.
Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
Yes my question was if they gone continue with Avion Express A320 .
So that's finished from next summer they will fly again with there 737s till the new A320neo (family) order arrives.
Again thank you.
Hasta la victoria siempre.

OO-SFG was due to fly an extra flight SN461 to Kigali/Nairobi on this Saturday for the World cycling championship. It has been canceled; SFG flying the SN379 instead.

Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
Seems like UA will announce their summer schedule tomorrow. Let's see if BRU gets a 5th Daily flight from them or not.
For now, BRU-IAD is at least still bookable through SN.

Would be interesting indeed. New flight to LA or SF. With the Royal economic mission there now.BRU_AV_123 wrote: 08 Oct 2025, 16:01 Seems like UA will announce their summer schedule tomorrow. Let's see if BRU gets a 5th Daily flight from them or not.

Today was already announced that Google will invest another 5 billion euro in data centers in Walloon and Amazon will invest 1 billion euro in Belgium. Let's hope for a new flight too

Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
Brussels Airlines joining the JV of Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines would be a good opportunity for SQ to increase its flights to daily I believe. Is it an indication that SQ is quite happy with its performance in BRU?
Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
No new flights to BRU. It will be Bari, Glasgow, Santiago de compostela, Seoul, Split.BRU_AV_123 wrote: 08 Oct 2025, 16:01 Seems like UA will announce their summer schedule tomorrow. Let's see if BRU gets a 5th Daily flight from them or not.

Southern European countries are lately very attractive for US carriers. Also Delta opened new destinations there.
Pity. We need to wait till the end of next year for new flights update

Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
It is a pity and as a Dane, Greek and Belgian using all the capital airports massively I’m a bit disappointed in BRU’s growth.
However, reading airliners.net they say the United gives its Denver new routes later in the year or early next spring so maybe there. Also, Warsaw is catching up to BRU in pax numbers so I hope more things are in the pipeline.
I’m impressed though with ATH and CPH but those for varied reasons but still they managed to grow. BRU needs to try a bit harder but I do hope something comes to fruition.

Delta and United anticipate higher growth from leisure markets. That is not BRU.Atlantis wrote: 09 Oct 2025, 22:35Southern European countries are lately very attractive for US carriers. Also Delta opened new destinations there.
Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
Exactly. Warsaw has already higher pax figures for this year than BRU. They have a much smaller airport, only 1 terminal with pier but they have a strong home carriertheeuropean wrote: 09 Oct 2025, 23:33 It is a pity and as a Dane, Greek and Belgian using all the capital airports massively I’m a bit disappointed in BRU’s growth.

Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
WAW is slightly better located for connections to Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Republics. There is also the matter of the Polish diaspora being over 10 millions strong in North America. You could remove one 0 and that is still more than the Belgian diaspora. That is a lot of potential VFR traffic.Atlantis wrote: 10 Oct 2025, 10:02Exactly. Point being, I don't think that WAW catching up to BRU is because of something WAW is doing, or BRU not doing.
