Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2018
The 3rd MAX is almost ready for assembly
Line number: LN6908
Block number: 1A854
MSN: 44591
Registration: OO-TMB
Aircraft disposition: Pre assembly
City Location: Renton
Location: Parts arriving
This will be the 4th MAX for the TUI group.
In the mean time the 2nd MAX for TUI is being painted:
Line number: LN6864
Block number: 1A853
MSN: 44590
Registration: OO-TMA
Aircraft disposition: Production testing
City Location: Portland
Location: Paint hangar
It had his first flight on March 12 as BOE853 to Portland
Seems that JAF is getting priority in the TUI group for the new planes?

Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2018
I'm not really sure that JAF is being prioritsed. When these 2 next MAX arrive, I think it is quite likely that one (or more) will have to fill in for the other airlines in the group at peak moments there (f.e. 1 to Amsterdam when the Dutch have their Easter holidays).

Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2018
Seems that the second 787-8 for Tui Fly Belgium has landed this 22/3.
G-TUIG transfered from Tui Fly UK (SN36426) and get new registration OO-LOE.
OO-TMA (737MAX) is back last week from painting and is in production testing.
OO-TMB also the third max for Belgium is in final assembly on the line.

Indeed: OO-LOE is in the Belgian register since 23th March 2018:AquaplexAir wrote: ↑26 Mar 2018, 11:35 Seems that the second 787-8 for Tui Fly Belgium has landed this 22/3.

Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2018
Does anyone know if TB still offers Miami this summer season. Saw they have flights to Zanzibar (is this new?). Last summer season one of the flights to Miami was on Tuesday and tomorrow there seems no flight to Miami from BRU.

Anyone who knows the meaning of "LOE"? Seems to be out of place for TUIB to give such a strange registration?

Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2018
I was going to ask the same question.
Here is a pic of this aircraft, taken Saturday at H40 during the presentation of #Aerosmurf at H41:
You will see that it sports the UK flag (but not the EU flag) next to the British registration G-TUIG. Will TUI put the Belgian flag after the change of registration?
You can also see the name of the plane "Edie". Will that be kept?
Anyway, the paintwork will be kept to a minimum.

Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2018
I have an idea what it means. It are the initials of one of the postholders at TUI Fly Belgium. This give us OO-xyE with 'x' his first name, 'y' his last name and 'E' for 'Engineering'.
Best regards,
Ivan

Per that article:
"The 767 will stay in the fleet, but all Belgian long-haul flights will be performed with one of the two Dreamliners."
So the 767 will be put on flights like TFS, DJE,... I guess?

This was already done last year. Also to Greek islands destinations.

I read somewhere that the OO-JNL will go and help the Dutch part of the TUI Group (an article/picture somewhere on Facebook).
Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2018
I know, but those flights only happened once in a while last year, the 767 was still mostly doing long haul flights. Judging by the wording of the article, it seems like the 767 will be put on short-medium haul exclusively from now on.

Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2018
Maybe (Luc Olieslagers, Engineering?), but the spokeswoman of TUI Belgium told me that the registration is totally random...
She also confirmed that the UK flag will, of course, be removed, but not be replaced by a Belgian one: the latter should be made compulsory on Belgian aircraft.
