Tip 1: floating airports in the Atlantic or Pacific have been designed already...
Tip 2: aircraft with jet engines for performance, coupled with propellor engines for endurance have been designed and built as well.
Tip 3 to tip 1000: voltaïc cells on airplanes, energy saving in the galleys, fluid extraction out of toilet residues to save weight, anti friction coating, anti friction system by creating a vacuum , diesel engines, nuclear powered airplanes ( see recent stories of the drones which could fly months ) and so many clever ideas have all appeared on the drawing board the last 80 years .
