That means the cabin retrofit…oldblueeyes wrote: 02 Feb 2026, 20:30Could you explain what you mean?LHG.Fleet wrote: 02 Feb 2026, 17:50 At an internal event this week, it was announced that only the conversion of six A330s has been decided upon at this time.
Conversion means usually eg P2F.
Or are you meaning retrofit on the new cabin?

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
The logical consequence of this would be that for the rest of 7+X airplanes the 2nd model (789 or 359) would become part of the fleet.
Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
The last retrofit was in 2019, so maybe these seats will just be flown a little longer. Besides, they would be similar to the seats that are now being introduced. Does somebody knows what's going on with SNK and SNL? Both are already long in maintenance. Especially SNL is very long out.

The photo actually is SBE, which was delivered in 2024. F-WWDA is a future aircraft for Sky Airline (Chile).
Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Indeed, saw it yesterday. Would be good, just before the Summer season

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Dear all,
Starting next year there are major changes in the long haul fleet:
- Two new A333 will join;
- Interior will be revamped completely;
- Starlink to be installed, also on this long haul fleet;
- New destinations, additional frequencies and/or de-triangulation to be implemented.
My questions
- Do we already know something on the new interiors? Only new seats, or everything new? Also larger bins (although maybe not necessary)?
- How long will the revamp of 1 plane take (1 month)?
- I assume Starlink will be installed together with this new cabins?
- Do we know when the two new planes will join (before the Summer season or not)? I guess they will have the new livery, the new cabin and starlink, so it might be later in the year?
- When will some of the current fleet go for maintenance or repaint?
- Any idea on new destinations: Libreville, Brazzaville, ...?
I expect announcements before Summer, or will we know later?
Cheers,
Danny

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Educated guess...
- at a certain point the follow up widebody model shall be announced - maybe these things should/need to be pulled together
- if A330/A359 combo, replicating the Discover/Eelweiss product would be the easiest thing
- likely one could start with the transferred aircraft from LH , as the other part of the fleet is leased and may exit more flexible

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
It will be the same seat and cabin as Discover, as it was a joint project between Discover and Brussels Airlines, only the colors and the galley will be different. I wonder why Brussels Airlines hasn’t presented the new cabin yet. If it’s a joint project, they might be ready as well.
There are currently rumors about a new destination in India. Air India would add one new destination and Brussels Airlines another destination in India. This would not be very surprising after the strategic partnership between the Lufthansa Group and Air India was announced.

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
That would be nice to see SN expand to India again.
It was a shame that they stopped flying to Mumbai.

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
It's not only a rumor. Last year, during the economical mission, there were discussions to reopen Delhi and Mumbai. Air India and Indigo were in the picture, but bcs of Star, preferably it would be Air IndiaDelta Sierra wrote: 08 Mar 2026, 10:48 It will be the same seat and cabin as Discover, as it was a joint project between Discover and Brussels Airlines, only the colors and the galley will be different. Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Discover and Edelweiss announced the change 12 months before the rollout date. I therefore think that Brussels will do the same. The next 330 is due to be added in summer 2027, so I think the announcement about the new cabin will be made between April and July.
In addition, according to rumors, the retrofit of six aircraft has only just been decided. (I assume that these are the former Lufthansa aircraft with the 2-2-2 cabin and the SFX, which still has the old Brussels cabin.)

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Would be indeed a nice addition, but I guess it would be limited to 3 flights/w or so. If more, then expansion in Africa will be limited, especially since it was about new destinations, more frequencies and de-triangulation, no?Atlantis wrote: 08 Mar 2026, 23:03It's not only a rumor. Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
I believe so. No info about that but I can imagine that 1 aircraft can be used for 2 new destinations. 1 in India and 1 in Africa. Both with a frequency of 3 flights a week. The second A330 for more direct flights.DannyVDB wrote: 09 Mar 2026, 10:23Would be indeed a nice addition, but I guess it would be limited to 3 flights/w or so. SNL will be back on 11.03 after almost 3 months maintenance. Must be something heavy.
