I'll be they will be counted if/when the merger gets finalized. Its still a little early to count on those with Alaska Air feeling out America West...

Sure but folowing this reasoning you should cut all LOI/MOU from QR/Kingfisher/GECAS, etc.

Honestly I think they should.

Following yesterday's event (read AC), I would tend to agree with you.

Also, Boeing should exclude most of its orders for the 787s as they are merely unbinding LOI.

I saw a advert for the A350 yesterday in a 'Transport of the Future' supplement in the 'Sunday Times' which showed it with HUGE windows. Will it have windows as big as the 787's windows? It would look realy cool in Iberia livery.

The surface of a window is increased by 8% by comparing with the A330. Still under the B787 window size (48x28 cm).

I think the size of the window does not count too much.
Independent which A/C I have ever flown on, the window
size was always good for a view (A319 to B747). So, with
the increased size of the A350 windows it will have more than
all current aircraft, except B787.

I suppose it depends on how tall you are, and whether you sit in a wing row. I sometimes have to twist into strange positions to see anything interesting outside. Especially if you want to look into the distance rather than down. In fact, I think it would help if they would just place the windows higher, instead of making them bigger.

I have decided to buy a ticket with a company that uses airplane with the largest windows.
The best I found so far is a C-130 cargo plane with the back door open. Nice view.
