And what is the problem with Manchester United fans and the new club owner? Does it really matter WHO owns the club as long as the results are good? I really don't see what they are getting upset about. If I support a club, I don't give a damn who the owner is. (And I am not a Manchester United fan by the way

News from Scotland...
Celtic lost to Motherwell yesterday, thereby handing the title to Rangers (and proving my advice to bet on both Scottish teams to win the Premier League if you want to be guaranteed some winnings
)
But the Celtic fans might still have something to celebrate, as they play Dundee United in the Scottish Cup final on Saturday.
But wouldn't it be nice to see a team other than Rangers or Celtic winning the prizes in Scotland?

We are 10/1 to beat Celtic tomorrow but that doesn;t mean it wont happen. We were 6/1 to beat Rangers last time we were in teh Scottish Cup Final and beat them (1994) - what a night that was. Put my last £10 on Utd (I was a student) and they did it!! I feel history repeating itself....

It sounds like the Scottish Cup Final was a better game than the English one was, it is gross when a game ends up as a penalty shoot out, even that can be nail-biting at times but all the extra time stuff and no goals in the game is boring.
More news - Sheffield Wednesday won their play off final and have now gone into the Championship for next season.
Liverpool are hoping they will be alowed to defend their title in Europe next season. I would have thought the cup holders would qualify for the competition automatically like they do with the World Cup

I wouldn;t let Liverpool defend their title. It makes a mockery of the qualifying rules if they are changed now. If they didn;t do enough in their own domestic season to qualify then who's fault is that!
Good on Sheff Wed - the are managed by a Dundee U LEGEND. My favourite player ever probably....I remember Paul Sturrock crossing the ball that heled us beat Barca in the Nou Camp - UEFA 1/4 final Cup 1987. Christ we were good then.....

American football is merely a variant of rugby, so why not call it "American rugby"? Makes more sense.sn26567 wrote:Yeah! Why is it that Americans call football a game they play essentially with their hands?
