My first flight was Brussels - Milan Linate with Sabena "Belgian World Airlines". It must have been in 1988. (I still have the ticket at home - I should check the exact dates) If I am not wrong the plane was a Boeing 737. Guess it must have been a -200 series ?!
My first flight was to London, for 3 days. On a KLM B737-400, PH-BPA (I can still remember that, because the plane called "Albert Einstein") somewhere in 1997, in the summer. The aircraft was rather new in that time. But I believe this aircraft isn't in the KLM fleet anymore, I never see it now.
My first flight was in november 1996, flying from Amsterdam to Sydney, with an unscheduled stop in Zürich and a scheduled stop in Kuala Lumpur. From Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur the airplane was a KLM one, from Kuala Lumpur to Sydney it was Malaysian Airlines. Type used was a Boeing 747 (that's all I know about it), and the duration : very long, especially for someone who had never flown before!
Hola,
My first flight was on a Turkish Airlines DC-9 from Istanbul to Adana, in 1978 (I was 1).
The first flight I remember though was on a Lufthansa B727-200 from Istanbul to Frankfurt, in 1980.
I think it was around 1976: a short flight over the city of Antwerp in a Cessna ( I think ) with my sister and parents, from EBAW.
Than in 1988 a schooltrip with a VLM F50 ( or was it a F27 at that time? ), flew from Antwerp to Mechelen over our school and back to Antwerp.
First time in a jet: april 1997 with a B737 from SABENA to see comet "Hale-Bopp".
First line-flight: B737 VEX to London Heathrow in october 1997.
Just for the fun of flying.
When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return."
Air Belgium Brussels-Faro B737-300 in September 1993. 6000 BEF, last minute with Airstop ... God, I was already 18 when I last my flying virginity .... Have catched-up very well afterwards, though ...
Next flight is next week Tuesday, day-return LUX-AMS-LUX on KLM F50
My first flight actually put me right off flying for years....
It was a BA flight from Inverness to London in June 1981. All i remember is that it was a turboprop so either a Viscount or HS 748 and it stopped in Glasgow on the way down.
We then connected on to my first longer flight....a Gulf Air Tristar to DXB via Bahrain. I was 8 and remember being sick a lot - a pattern that continued anytime a plane was mentioned until I was old enough to know better!!!
My first flight was during the summer of 1995 Brussels-Barcelona on a EBA (eurobelgian airlines now Virgin Express) 737 ( -300 series but not sure of the latter part).
I spend 30min in the cockpit while we were enroute... .
My first flight was in 1969 with a Piper Comanche from Bern (BRN) to Sion (SIR).
My first scheduled flight was in July 1976 with Trans World Airlines from Zürich (ZRH) to New York (JFK), it was a Boeing 707-331 B
