and why do you think american carriers have almost exclusively Boeing fleet; so you can say the same about the USA. No american carrier ordered the A380.
United? US Airways? Jetblue?
you 'forget' to be complete : American Airlines, Continental, Delta (pre Northwest), Southwest, Hawaiian,...and then some other smaller carriers
American, Continental, Delta probably got a very nice deal from Boeing.
Hawaiien just received their first A330.
It's common for an LCC to place a huge order with one manufacturer to get a good price and in favor of fleet commonality (e.g. Ryanair (Boeing) and Easyjet (Airbus)).

Well, I don't know where you got this information from, but I can tell you that a lot of pilot flying the 320's, if they had to fly the 737, they would see this as a step back in their careers,

You really don't understand the way Japan is working.
Someone with a bit of knowledge in the Japanese world would know that
So you are certainly an expert on Japan ?
Did I ever said that? I said " ...someone with a bit of knowledge...", as far as I know that doesn't mean "expert".
But if you want to know, I've a lot of familly and friends working/living in Japan. And working in the Japanese aviation industry.
Airbus increases 2010's A380 orders forecast from 10 aircraft to 20.
Maybe NH biting the hook? With the delays, it seems that there are no longer delivery slots before 2015, so an order decision must be taken soon enough if NH want the Whale Jet before the next century.

Well then these European carriers may get nice deals from Airbus also...

That time has come : Japan Airlines (JAL) has placed its first ever order with Airbus, signing a purchase agreement for 31 A350 XWBs with options for a further 25
