BRU winter 2007: what to expect: airlines, routes, news.

Correct, I saw this ICAO code for the first time today. BIAC is using both codes at this moment till the wintertimetable is official in use. The other official channels are not mentioning the JAF code. Probably due to the reason Brubiac gave.Brubiac wrote:The new code for TUB --> JAF is officially released today. Starting from the winterseason you won't TUB anymore.Atlantis wrote:When I was checking the new wintertimtable, still 95% is knowing, I saw that some destinations of SNBA, where they use their own metal will be served by an A320 or A321. Some of those destinations are Moskou (DME), Istanbul and Tel Aviv.
Is BIAC perhaps knowing that SNBA will use other aircrafts than current?? Enfin, this is pure speculation but it is a real surprise to see that kind of information in the timetable.
BIAC is also using a new ICAO code for Jetairfly: JAF. This is a not existing code. IMO BIAC is using its own codes.

Hello
I also saw the scheduled B767 flights to/from Puerto Plata and Punta Cana.
Another code-change. They could as well held their old code , sounded more familiar until now. Although the new one is more logical
But this also means that the 'TUI Airlines Belgium' will totally dissapeare , now with the nostalgic code 'TUB' to 'JAF'.
Anyone has an idea wetter they would keep their currenct callsign 'Beauty' ?
Best regards: Yannick

The brand TUI Airlines Belgium will not dissappear and the callsign "Beauty" will still being used for ATC communications.Bruspotter wrote:Hello

The timetable for Moskou (DME), Istanbul and Tel Aviv says 32S.Atlantis wrote:When I was checking the new wintertimtable, still 95% is knowing, I saw that some destinations of SNBA, where they use their own metal will be served by an A320 or A321. But 32S means not only the A320 or A321 but also the A319.

Syrian Airlines return on the BEY-BRU route
Hello guys!
It seems that unlike heard before, Syrian (Arab) Airlines (RB) will be operating between BEY and BRU again. Starting Oct. 29 they will fly weekly each way with their A320. And already before as my mother-in-law is booked on a flight on Wed Oct. 25.
So glad to see BEY back in the destinations list, even if it isn't by MEA or a local airline!

The timetable for tomorrow shows already the first flight ex-Durham at 09.20h.Established02 wrote:> Eastern Airways starts this Monday - 02.10.06 - with new flights to Durham Teen Valley.

You're right. It's up there on the BIAC site. However one can have the impression that BIAC's timetable contradicts Eastern's timetable.Atlantis wrote:The timetable for tomorrow shows already the first flight ex-Durham at 09.20h.

I saw that the morning flight was cancelled. The eveningflight is still running. It could be that BIAC is following its own timetable. From the beginning Eastern announced to start first flights on 2 October. But they posponed that till 30 October. So, it could be that BIAC will show every day, except in the weekend, the new flights of Eastern.Established02 wrote:You're right. It's up there on the BIAC site. About the Hainan flights:
Between 16 December 06 and March 07 there will be three flights. The Saturday flight is temporary out of service.
But there are in the Winterschedule also some changes.
Between 13 and 18 February there will be only one flight a week and this on Thursday.
Between 15 February and 4 March there will be only two flights a week and this on Tuesday and Thursday.
An other source, Amadeus, gave only one flight - on Saturday - from the beginning of April. That would be the beginning of the new summer schedule. I have my doubts on that. From 4 to 1 flight is a little bit to drastic.

Re: decrease flights from Hainan ?
A few weeks ago I've tried to take look at their fares for early next year, but the online reservation systems of most ticket shops in Belgium don't seem to allow you to book them. Flight to Brussels weren't even mentioned on Hainan's their own website either. Not exactly encouraging.carlcat wrote:Be carefull in the way at the beginnig they had 60 passengers , now they get full pax , this will change their mind , wait and see.
Re: decrease flights from Hainan ?
Try via the site BIAC is mentioning for Hainan. That's the site who is updated. There are two different sites of Hainan. One of them is indeed not updated and is mentioning the start of flights to Budapest. But that was a year or two ago.gumblebee wrote:A few weeks ago I've tried to take look at their fares for early next year, but the online reservation systems of most ticket shops in Belgium don't seem to allow you to book them.
