Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2018

On 11th December 2018, OO-SFU (A330-200) performing flight SN-358 (dep 10th Dec) from Kinshasa to Brussels, was enroute at FL380 over Algeria when the left hand engine failed prompting the crew to drift the aircraft down to below FL270. The crew was able to re-start the engine in flight, climbed back to FL380 and continued the flight to Brussels.

This little jet took off in Nuremberg and has been flying low altitude for a while. Anyone knows what he's up to? Taking pics? Sampling the territory?

I couldn't say, but he is mighty close to violating the reserved airspace around the NATO installations at Casteau... Photography seems little likely, but perhaps (procedural) training?

NB if you have ever stood next to a CL604, you won't call it a "little" jet anymore

Well if they were US'an (or at least NATO), as I suspected, that would explain they knew what to do to legally cross the SHAPE airspace. Why they wanted to fly there is still a bit of a mistery...

Also, if they can afford to use a jet for this type of flight, I can see no lack of military budgets Even EBBR Zaventem uses a modest King Air for that job - at those altitudes, jets are not terribly efficient.

Chièvres is a USAF base, it mostly serves VIP transports (check it out on Wikipedia).
Most likely the plane was from the USAF, too, that should be visible from FR24.
And not necessarily new ILS equipment: calibration must be done periodically, perhaps once per year or so.

This plane was scheduled to fly the SEN-ANR leg afterwards, so this flight has been delayed considerably.

Who knows what happened with OO-LOE of TUIfly flight 161 to PUJ today 22.12...it never departed ( till now ). Some friend on board but no news ?
Flightradar indicates estimated departure time 11.50 but the flight disapeared on the BRU website suddenly. Thx...
