Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet
The 'Airbus A320' is inserted in the booking engine!
ex. AGP-BRU ETD13.20-ETA16.10 10/07/2011

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet
Indeed, the A320 is appearing SN's booking engine. I checked also some random dates for Tel Aviv, and as from June/July I discover the A320, at first it seems to be limited but as later as you go as more A320 you see.SabenaForever wrote:The 'Airbus A320' is inserted in the booking engine!

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet
Will SNA or SNB be painted in Star Alliance colours ?
Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet
It's more logical to me to repaint one of the A330's going into maintenance and repaint this year with the Star Alliance scheme.Airbus A330 wrote:Will SNA or SNB be painted in Star Alliance colours ?
Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet
i hope they don't. i don't like the star alliance livery
Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet
Fair enough, but they already have an A319 painted in Star Alliance colors and I don't see the point of having several A319's flying around in Europe where Star Alliance is widely known whereas SN's long haul fleet is deployed in Africa where Star is less known.cnc wrote:i hope they don't. i don't like the star alliance livery
Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet
Any plans to paint one of the Avros in Star Alliance colors?

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet
I am always surprised by the incredible number of questions about SN Brussels fleet. Does it mean the press embargo is so hermetic that most of us have to speculate in order to guess what future will bring ?
Or the real decisions makers are (already) not in Brussels. Naïve question?

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet
The Dutch Wikipedia-page about Brussels Airlines mentions that the first A320 will be delivered in April 2011. The second A320 should follow in June 2011. Seems plausible, as Brussels Airlines will start to operate the Hannover, Bristol and Manchester routes themselves, starting on 28 March 2011...
Edit: It also mentions another A330 on order... Interesting

Seeing this picture above, I realise that wikipedia isn't quite correct!Polaris wrote:The Dutch Wikipedia-page about Brussels Airlines mentions that the first A320 will be delivered in April 2011. On the English page they mention January 2011 and April 2011 as entry into service.
I guess this is more realistic!

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet
Always check the english page when you check wikipedia for aviation (in favor for all subjects), because the english version is mostly much more updated, more correct and more complete.Polaris wrote:Seeing this picture above, I realise that wikipedia isn't quite correct!Polaris wrote:![]()

BTW about OO-SNA, according to Skyliner: "ferried 10jan11 DUB-DUS after paint into Brussels Airlines as OO-SNA prior hand-over". Well I tought he would get pre delivery C-check in Dublin and paint in Norwich. But it seems he got paint in DUB and no c-ceck. Can someone give some more information?

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet
Yes, that's one of the brandnew A319s from Mexicana which will soon join the fleet...
It's sistership will become SSQ, BTW.
Strange we can't find SNA (and SNB) back yet, probably a matter of days.
