Unusual go-around today 31/8 at BRU:
TK3926 was on approach on the 01, then aborted the approach (was still over Wezembeek), headed west at 3700 ft till about Gent, made a 270° right turn, followed by a 90° left turn from where it started an approach on the 07L while the 01 was still active for landing (it still is at this time). Strangely enough, the flight history is not available anymore on FR24 (while I could follow the approach live on it) but it still shows on flightaware.

The fact that it landed on the 07L, the longest runway, might be an indication of a technical issue. What do you think or know about it?

Strange indeed, starting with the fact that TK flights to BRU (and AMS, remember the 1951 that made a slam dunk on approach) carry a flight number with a 19xx format.
Also, their inbounds have an uneven number. This one has an even number.

TK3926 is unknown to Flightstats.com as well.
The plot thickens ...

If you have more info I'll go after. Nothing much to do but wait for somebody to send me my taxi. Tail is OO-SNK. Soon 2 hours delay.

This morning, red devils a320 and rackham A320 were following each other en route to CDG. 15 mins apart, tops. Is this normal schedul? Or just meeting abnormal demand? Would've thought those flights are near empty, at least on the outbound.

That's the normal schedule, and certainly not an anomaly.

Those flights are necessary to bring in and out the passengers connecting through to the African network. Note: there is a third flight between both hubs: an ASL Airlines France Boeing 737, also operating on behalf of Brussels Airlines:

Return from Wales at FL220 suggests it's a technical issue, no medical.

Technical issue with one of the computer systems, passengers will be rebooked on the next available flight.

SN flight to IAD yesterday cancelled, SN flight to BOM today cancelled, TUIfly Belgium to CANCUN yesterday cancelled...TUIfly to CURACAO delayed ( more than 4 hours ) to name only those that I see ... we can not say that the Belgian long haul is very very powerful ... Absolutely not credible and it's sad and regrettable !

I think SN urgently needs to replace those old birds... unless the cancelled IAD yesterday and BOM today was because of a newer one

Longer queues at passport control

Due to a manifestation of the civil servants held in Brussels today (28/09/2018) there are fewer police officers to check passports at the airport. As a result, queues at passport control may be longer than usual.

We advise passengers for non-Schengen destinations to come to the airport well ahead of their departing time to allow for delays at border control.
