Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
could you tell us if there will be first class and/or business class?BeOnTop wrote:Tip of the day: we will not go to Ryanair destinations.
Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
This should be a config with 10 % business class, may be with "accordion" seats.
Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
and what about destinations?
Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
short runways: eg: Florence, Avignon, Aoste, Berne, Samedan ...Shanti wrote:to which destinations will you fly with BeOnTopAirlines?

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
Any idea when the first flight will leave from LGG?
Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
it depends on time delivery: steep approach and Florence kit are very special requests ...

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
I thought steep approach was already available for the 318, what do you mean by Flaorence kit, higher thrust rating??

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
Dear BeOnTop,
Really interesting destinations, certainly when you realize that:
- Only British carriers currently serve Avignon. Some of the flights are only seasonal as well. Those flights are definitely packed by British second house owners. Avignon isn't served by Air France, while AF definitely serves all the main regional airports. (For example: look at the timetable for the CDG <-> Nice or CDG <-> Ajaccio routes during the summer and the aircraft used on those regional routes. Or even better, just have a look at the destionations served by the AF-La navette services in general). If there isn't a market for the French national airline, why would there be a market for your airline that just starts its operations?
- Only Air Vallée seems to serve Aoste Airport for the moment. There is only one flight a day. I think that says it all...
- Samedan isn't a realistic destination, if you ask me. There aren't any passengers flights for the moment to the airport and the approach and landing seem to be very challenging, even for very experienced pilots. By the way, has any other Luchtzak-member ever heard about that city?
- Why do you think there is a market for flights from Liège to the Swiss Capital? If you have a closer look at the timetable, most flights are operated to holiday destinations in the mediterranean region. If a passenger has the choice bewteen rainy Liège or Sunny Spain or Greece, I think we both know which ticket he prefers. Even Swiss doesn't have any schedueled flights from Berne. Again, if the national carrier doesn't serve a regional airport, it mostly means that there just isn't a large market, let alone that there is a market for a start-up airline.
You say you are going to serve destinations with a short runway AND that you are going to offer business class on your flights. Could you name another European airline company that offers business-class seats on regional aircraft (TAP/Portugalia not included)?
How are you going to face the fierce competition by budget airlines such as Easyjet and Ryanair, both serving airports that aren't too far away from Liège and the other destinations you name?
If the airline says it doesn't wish to give any details about its future projects just yet, it seems extremely odd that you are allowed to do just that, BeOnTop. As a future lawyer, I must politely warn you that some labour contracts have a clause that says that workmen aren't allowed to talk about very sensitive information they obtain while working. If they do so after all, the might get fired.
Your stories and information just don't make sense to me and reminds me of a story that featured in an Airliner World edition some years ago about someone who claimed to be an employee of a start-up airline, contacted several BAA-airports in order to obtain very expensive "slots" and ended up in jail (I think. He was certainly trialed). Are you sure you aren't telling about one of the games about the airline industry you play on your computer?
I really like reading about new Airlines and their ambition, but this discussion has gone out of hand. Shall we reopen the discussion once we know for sure that BeOnTop really starts operating?

a special kit on A319 used by Meridiana ...Desert Rat wrote:I thought steep approach was already available for the 318, what do you mean by Flaorence kit, higher thrust rating??
Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
for sure: Not far from LGG sir: Luxair ...Jetairfly wrote: You say you are going to serve destinations with a short runway AND that you are going to offer business class on your flights. About Samedan: in fact it's Davos and St Moritz Airport, closed not more six days a year ... It's like Sion (Cran Montana) pilots enjoy chalenges ...
But you should be among those that consider that it was stupid for Ryanair to choose Carcassonne and Zadar ...
They have find the solution: nobody goes there, so they got a very large total average market ...
Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
Wow, try to land on a short runway with a 737-800 Ryanair, great pilot ...Jetairfly wrote:How are you going to face the fierce competition by budget airlines such as Easyjet and Ryanair, both serving airports that aren't too far away from Liège and the other destinations you name?
And don't talk me about the A319 Easyjet MTOW ... (empty maybe)
Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
Dear BeOnTop,
First of all, I don't quite understand your last comment about what I wrote earlier today. I think you either misread my comment or just don't get the question. I have never talked about landing a Boeing 737-800 or an Airbus passenger jet on a short runway...
You are right about Luxair! Thank you for your answer.
Are you sure that Samedan Airport has the right accomodation to process to passenger flights? The only pictures I can find on the Internet only show private jets...How many times a week will you serve SMV?
It is fairly obvious why AF doesn't serve Carcassonne. Toulouse, one of AF's most important destinations with various connections, is only 93 kilometers away
. Again, if a route out of Carcassonne was profitable, I think Air France would already have started it. I never claimed that Ryanair made a mistake when adding Carcassonne to its network.
I think you make a mistake when you say that Zadar is only served by FR. Croatia Airlines, Lufthansa and Germanwings all serve Zadar, so your comment isn't correct! Please doublecheck your sources! Again, I never said that Ryanair made a bad move when they decided to start serving the Croatian market.
Please keep on topic. This topic is all about BeOnTop Airlines
