Re: Trivia 2017 (miscellaneous news)
Longest delay ever? According to FR24, a Primera Air flight (6F 705) from Stockholm to Alicante took off with a 38-hour delay. The flight was scheduled to depart on Sunday 07:50 but departed on Monday 22:00 local time. Delay was caused by technical problems.
And Primera Air flight 6F 723 is "just" 25h delayed.... For the same reason?

The players had a meal in the Belair restaurant.
DAT send a Saab LY-RUS from Billund with the parts needed to repair the problem. Something to do with a monitor.
There were no spare aircrafts at the moment.
Perhaps they should have hired a Thalys/TGV and took all their supporters(800) on the train, it would have been quicker and cheaper...

The EU should start a similar inquiry. Some airlines really squeeze passengers too much.Passenger wrote: ↑29 Jul 2017, 18:54 An American Judge has ordered the FAA to investigate the consequences of the shrinking airline seats for the passengers' safety.

Re: Trivia 2017 (miscellaneous news)
Indeed, there should be a regulation on pitch and seat width (as is the case for the number of toilets on aircraft-just try to imagine what would be the situation if that rule didn't exist!!! ), so that airlines are prevented to squeeze ihe highest possible number of sardines in their planes in order to have better financial returns than the competition.sn26567 wrote: ↑29 Jul 2017, 19:17The EU should start a similar inquiry. I' m generally not in favor of too much regulation, but from time to time, it is necessary to keep free enterprise on the right tracks.

And how much radiation did the handlers get during loading/unloading? They get closer to the package than the minimum distance of 1m on which the calculation of radiation is done. The specialist where not happy to open it without extra protective measures, says enough, no?luchtzak wrote: ↑30 Jul 2017, 10:28 Radioactive material transported on a flight between Egypt and Belgium (via Switzerland)

Re: Trivia 2017 (miscellaneous news)
The problem is not the transport of radioactive material, but the fact that it has been unsuitably packaged, without control of radioactive emissions after packaging.
