Alitalia’s services which were originally scheduled between Rome and the Belgian capital, will operate to and from Liege (a Belgian town south-east of Brussels) up to 5 April included.
The Liege airport represents the best temporary solution possible. However, the airport has a limited capacity and it proved to be congested due to the extraordinary flight operations set up by airlines that, like Alitalia, usually don’t fly to and from Liege. As a consequence of this, Alitalia cannot ensure the same ground service offered at Zaventem airport. Furthermore, direct services between Milan and Belgium remain canceled and Alitalia has immediately set up re-routing procedures for its passengers booked on flights to/from Milan which have been rebooked on services to/from Rome. This plan remains effective until further update.

Using now A321
I wonder now if LGG could welcome more pax if using bigger planes and less flights. Seems to be the trend.
My messages reflect my personal opinion which may be different than yours. I beleive a forum is made to create a debate so I encourage people to express themselves, the way they want, with the ideas they want. I expect the same understanding in return.

The lady was't really helpful. "In the system the flight LIS-BRU for Sunday april 2 still exists and is even for sale so you will find out on the day of your journey."
Now let us be realistic. The chance that TP will operate at BRU this weekend is about what... 5 to 10%?
If I would end up in OST or maybe LGG, okay. But if I will be put on a plane to ORY or AMS I need to know it in advance (arrange someone for pick-up or maybe book a Thalys ticket).
Is dencend communication that hard?
Tomorrow morning I am gonna try the Brussels call center. It will cost me, but need to know...
I think the chances are very big you'll end up in OST. Not too sure about transportation from the airport, there are a lot of busses coming and going, but I think most if not all are from JAF. If there's no transportation provided by the airline, there's still a public transport bus to the Ostend train station or you can take a cab. Apparently the airline should compensate 'reasonable' travel expenses.
Tried the Belgian call center today.
Flights between LIS and BRU are still on schedule for this Sunday, the operator said.
The alternative (which is likely going to happen IMO) is OST. I have to call back on Friday for updated information.
They operate just 1 flight a day to/from OST, however I can't track any on FR24. It leaves around 1:15PM in LIS (so 7 hours of transit time instead of 3... yihaa) and arrives around 5PM.
I am curious about what aircraft, because load factors on the flights between BRU and LIS I take are always minimum 90%. This is a very busy route, and also SN is not flying it as far as I know at the moment.

IMO AZ can remain operating maybe 1 daily flight between LGG and Italy in the future, even after reopening BRU. I don't understand why that never happened before. The region (Liege and nearby Limburg) has a huge population of people from Italian origine.

The regional airports want to know where they stand, words of CEO of Antwerp/Ostend Brughes airports.
Its difficult but its somewhat logical.
He asks for a meeting with all the airports so things can be planned ahead.
Airlines can't keep on cancelling their flights.
If you need to be somewhere you are nothing with a refund.
Look at Air Arabia and Royal Air Maroc. The first is probably glad to take on RAM customers...

My post got lost somewhere...
Highly likely you will arrive at OST.
TAP operates a A320.
Loadfactor from 50 to 95% depending day to day.

Since YYZ is currently not operating, as from tomorrow an A330 will be deployed on our key medium haul routes to cope with very high volume and the lower than normal frequencies on those routes: tomorrow an A330 will be used on MAD.
Nice, but was it really worth the trouble? It did 1 return flight; only 4 hours in the air. I hope the l/f was good.

Also newsreel from local television on current situation at Ostend airport.(30/3)
Basically the same info as on VRT.
OO-SFM and OO-SSG flew into BRU with SN9* callsigns, so those are just positioning flights, we had quite a lot of them since the 22, so nothing out of the ordinary.. yet!
