I'm sorry, translation:
Het is eerder onwaarschijnlijk dat de naam ''Sabena'' nieuw leven wordt ingeblazen, aangezien de naam nog steeds eigendom is van de curatoren van Sabena.
It is rather improbable that the name "Sabena'' is insufflated new live, since the name is still property of the receivers of Sabena.

sabena.eu is registered by someone at SN-house, and brusselsairlines.eu is registered by SN air holding.... very strange!!!

I think that the release of "Brussels Airlines" a few weeks ago at work and today "Sabena" in the media are all part of a carefully prepared campaign to mislead the public and to keep the suspence till 07/11/06.

However I still remember having read somewhere that the receiver of Sabena proposed to use the name again; Is it true that the name Sabena can be used again after 5 years?

So what? Anyone can make an offer to buy the name. Including SN/VEX!

My only post concerning a bet of the new name, but couldn't resist: "flySN(.com)"!

Ah, the typical sour humor of my countrymen, how I hate it...

Aaaaanyway, back on topic (more or less): the person who registered sabena.eu is Alain d'Ieteren... a few seconds on Google learned me he is one of Christiaan Van Buggenhouts colleagues... so the plot thickens!

Maybe this has nothing to do with the new name, but SNBA is going to move back into the Sabena House. The Brussels Airport Company is looking for a solution for TUI that is currently located in the Sabena House. They will probably move to the former SobelAir buildings. The contract of SNba in the corporate village is NOT YET FINISHED, but SNba is looking for a solution. Vex allready moved into the Sabena House partially. Basicly TUI gets kicked out for SNba who's contract wasn't even finished in the corp. vill.

The application has been done on the 04/04/2006 though, then there was the sunrise period and then the final registration at 25/09/2006. I then checked when SN airholding anounced in the papers that they want to fly under a new name and came out on the remarkable date of 01/04/2006.
At 01/04/2006 de standaard online anounced that Vex and SNba wil start together under a new name!

My common sense still can't believe it'll be sabena though. :-(

The SN/VEX spokesman said on RTLTVI that passengers of both companies will recognise something of both companies in the new name.
I was thinking of SABRANSON or SabenaBranson Air but then again VISA is so much better: short, feminin and without any R's.

Okay its time to get involved in this more and more boring topic.

Like I have said three or four pages ago, next Tuesday we all know what the name will be. Is it that diffucult that wait till that day???? I think we have seen here in the last couple of pages the most nonsens ever. Who's the owner of the name Sabena or names like Visa, SabenaBranson etc, etc is all bullshit. The name only will not make a topairline of it.

You have to think further than that. The strategy, vision, ambition that's the real thing. The name is a very small part of it.

You have to think: what's the best fleet for the merger of both airlines, what kind of routes will you drop, will there be proffitable new routes, will you buy or lease aircrafts?

I hope that this will stop all the useless air. Speaking about a name is fine but not 13 pages where everyone is telling the same.

I also hope the moderators understand this!!

Sabena Express .....or Brussels Express ....

The only part you can take from Virgin Express is...express,as Virgin is property of Mr Branson

Sn Express....

Sabena Express is not too bad, taking the best of both companies...

But I'm sure it wil be 'someting with Brussels'....because don't forget that Brussels Gov has some big money in the capital of snba...and their condition was that the name of the capital of Europe, should appear at least in some way.....
