Food for thought!!!

A Morgan Stanley report has questioned the wisdom of IndiGo’s ambitious 100-aircraft acquisition plan as well as Kingfisher’s plan to buy wide-bodied aircraft.

 “We see risk in IndiGo’s order for 100 A320s as well as Kingfisher’s ability to introduce five A380s in ’10,” says the report

Hindi takes wings on EU flights

 You could call it Hindi on a high, literally. French and German, may be the lingua franca of European airlines, but increasingly it’s our rashtriya-bhasha that’s calling the shots, 35,000 feet above the Earth.
Foreign carriers, particularly European ones, like Austrian Airlines, Swiss Air Lines, Air France and Alitalia, are increasingly looking at hiring Hindi-speaking crew to man flights on the burgeoning India-Europe sector.

Interlining can be the new tool that airlines in india will use to expand their area of service !!!

The airlines, led by Jet Airways and Air-Sahara, are tying up with dozens of carriers to increase their penetration in markets they do not serve.
Among the pure domestic carriers, Kingfisher Airways is negotiating with several international airlines and is expected to announce its first interline tie-ups in the coming weeks. The low-cost carriers, Air-Deccan and SpiceJet have no such ties because their model does not allow interlining.

The airlines in india service a very small network for example Jet airways' international network and hence Interlining with other airlines increases the reach !!!!
