The police told us something very interesting about those scanners though. They told us scanners are allowed in here, you just need to ask a permit at your local council.
Any one who can confirm this?

i already sended twice a mail to BIPT ( the administration for everyting that has to do with the airwaves) for more info on how i could get a permit for a scanner.
the first time they sended me a letter, where they told me that no permit was needed  i suspected they thought i did a request for a CB, so i mailed them again with the same question, this time clearly indicating it was for a scanner, even with the type and specifications of the scanner i would be interested in buying
until now, and i did this request before newyear, i did'nd receive any response on it ; must be a very difficult question for them

Even more pics from our "Duizendpoot" Vonsmal.

Great shots from all of you. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Concerning the scanners. Always be carefull with them. In the Netherlands they are allowed but as far as I know they are forbidden in Germany and Belgium.

Best Regards,
Yvo

Yesterday they confiscated quit some scanners! I saw at least 2 "regular" spotters who got their scan confiscated because of some "outlaw"-type spotters.
As far as I know they are still illegal, will try to get some info next week. Keep you informed.

BTW: nice pics Aldgate & Vonsmal!

that would be great, i really would like to get a permit, ore whatever it is called, to use a scanner without having to fear troubles with the law :D
