The police told us something very interesting about those scanners though. They told us scanners are allowed in here, you just need to ask a permit at your local council.
Any one who can confirm this?

i already sended twice a mail to BIPT ( the administration for everyting that has to do with the airwaves) for more info on how i could get a permit for a scanner.
the first time they sended me a letter, where they told me that no permit was needed
i suspected they thought i did a request for a CB, so i mailed them again with the same question, this time clearly indicating it was for a scanner, even with the type and specifications of the scanner i would be interested in buying
until now, and i did this request before newyear, i did'nd receive any response on it ; must be a very difficult question for them
