This is so sad new to hear, my condolences go out to everyone who has lost loved ones.

Although a lot of people die in accidents every day, when there is a plane crash I always feel very sad, it is a very sad sight to such an beautiful piece of machinery totally destroyed. :(

Damn those people are really crazy.
Who suggest it was caused by bad maintenance. If I was MK I would strongly protest against this.

Bye the way the can't even spell Hallelujah :!: in their movie

Wiloo will certainly say there were problems ... but it could have been maintenance also ...
Guess which website spiced up their article with this picture you showed us Bottie?

I know it Bart ... but their article on their frontpage has some major errors (But I won't tell what errors in public) but now we know they do not check their sources  but only use the words they can use ...

First of all I would like to express my deepest condolences to the families of the crew members on board of the fated B747. :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
i dont think its because off the cargo load because the plane only lands in Halifax for Refueling
According to CBC's video, the plane refueled in Halifax and also took the seafood cargo onboard.
and the time has come: http://www.wiloo.be
I'm asking myself why their should be an investigation on this crash since Wiloo apparently already knows the reason !!!!!! pffffff  I feel sorry for Wiloo people they don't have the facts and already know better than everybody. Further on they claim that MK is unsafe, refer us to another text "de MK Airlines schande", where nothing about the security of MK is said. So again no proof at all !!!!

If MK would be unsafe, it won't fly in or over Belgium. (prooves how stupid they are)

Condolences to the family of the 7 victims...

Air Memphis has been banned from Belgian skies for less than that, so they give it a shot now that it's still making headline news (sort of)...

And don't assume too quickly that there's no unsafe operator in Belgian skies. Wiloo might (might !) have a valid point here.

I never said that MK was safe, all I said was that Wiloo didn't show any proof to show that MK is unsafe, but still claim it on their website. And claiming something without having a valid proof can be very dangerous.

The facts are right: the plane crashed. Wiloo has a point. It was not a KLM, Lufthansa or BA cargo plane. It was MK, it has been predicted (yes, by Wiloo the Teacher). But it was not a crash on Ostend, it was not a night flight, or a russian airliner, nor a weapons transport. So, wrong prediction by Wiloo.
Allow me to say that a crash is already enough proof that something has to be investigated. It is not normal.

If it is true what Wiloo says about the 4 crashes of MK, I wonder how MK can afford to keep flying. Must be quite costly to lose your fleet.

I think it is naive to think that if a plane is allowed to fly in belgian airspace, it is automaticaly a safe airline.

I can imagine that the airport authority at Ostend will be pressed to look closer into safety procedures, including maintenance, sparepart origin, crew qualification, loading procedures,...

The only thing why Wiloo didn't make a complete home run is that the cargo plane didn't come directly from Ostend or was heading to Ostend. Otherwise, he probably had a real strong case.

By the way, the movie of Wiloo showing off with a sound meter during the day is not really a proof that Ostend suffers because of noisy night flights...

For some reason, it was difficult to get into LZ topic, from here anyway.
Here some picture links

Then I tried an other topic, which gave me: Sorry but you can only edit your own posts. Click Here to return to the topic

Hope these pics reach you well.
Looks like the all time biggest seafood bbq!
Sorry for the guys that got killed, but it looks like a misfired take-off.

But winds in the canadian fall season, I suppose, can not be the reason alone of this mishap. Six crew on board? CPT, F/O, F/E, load master and who else?
Does the LM data maybe have something to do with the tailstrike? If so we will know more when the cabine voice recordings will be analyzed, but this is my clue to the crash.

The flight from New York had stopped in Halifax to pick up a load of seafood and refuel before heading to Zaragosa, Spain.
The 747-200 owned by MK airlines crashed on take off, between 3:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. Thursday.
The airport was closed for some time with no electricity. The terminal was open by 7 a.m., but the first runway did not open until after 8 a.m.
