C'mon Chris, terrorists know quite well where to attack and certainly do not need Luchtzak to select their targets.

I'm not removing this interesting topic. If Bart wants to do it, up to him!

The WTC was also built to resist an impact of a Boeing 747, but look what happened...
Correction, the WTC were strong enough to resist an collision from a 707.

[please English in this forum - note of sn26567]

If I remember well, The 2 F-16's must be airborne within 5 minutes.

And by the way, I don't think that hijackers or whatever will ever pay a visit to 'www.luchtzak.be'. And if they do, why would they ever trust something that is being written over here?

I mean, I'm sure those guys have sources all over the world and can get good intelligence from the various official sources, not some websites run by aviation enthusiasts.

They (= the :devil2: guys) really don't have to hijack a plane to mess the place (= Brussels) up!!! :pang:

With quite small means you can create a Belgian version of 9/11!

Luckily people don't realise it, otherwise a lot of them wouldn't  anymore.

I know this is very dark thinking, but I know what I'm talking about :teach: , but don't worry... the :thumbsup2: guys are watching the :devil2:

Meanwhile

My opinion is that if real profesional terrorists want to plan an attack using an airliner there's nothing you can do about it.
Remember the last time you flew from BRU and took off from 25R.
How long did it take to fly overhead the atomium and "Mini-Europe"?
So imagine a terrorist wants to crash on the NATO in Evere...
Who would be there first... The airliner or the F-16 from Kleine Brogel?
I think before the ATC-er notices somethings suspicious the plane is already crashed on the ground.
Nice topic to talk about the day before a long haul flight  :?
When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return."

For my next question we have to cross the Channel to London...
It's more concerning the security.
I don't get it very well what they are doing in England. Not so long ago they found some secret security plans on the public road around LHR, knowing that they are a target of terrorists.
What I don't get is the fact they still permit traffic overflying Buckingham Palace :?: :!: In Belgium it's not allowed if I'm not mistaken.
Maybe they have changed approach routes by now? I was thinking about it because I went to London with school after the Easter holidays.
So you're in the middle of London, lying in Hyde Park (some 200-300m from Buckingham) and there is still a lot of traffic passing.
So they let potential "flying bombs" just into the garden of the Queen.
