Jan is correct, the servers were overloaded because of popularity of the new booking classes introduced recently, so at leak periods they we're in trouble: more capacity thus had to be arranged to cope with the suddenly increased online demand for bookings.
FYI- last week (the first week of the new 4 product approach), a whopping 40% more tickets on Europe were sold than in the same period last year...
