On day 3 of the Dubai Air Show, at last, an order for the CSeries: Bombardier announces a Letter of Intent from Iraqi Airways for 5 CS300 aircraft (and 11 options), along with NOK AIR's firm order for 2 Q400s (plus 2 options and 4 purchase rights). And Abu Dhabi Aviation signs a Letter of Intent for 2 Q400 NextGen aircraft.

Air Algérie has signed a Memorandum of Understanding for 3 A330-200s.

Air Serbia will take 10 A320neos from the Etihad order of day 1.

Boeing ended the show with 342 orders/commitments worth 101,5 billion USD, Airbus achieved 142 orders/commitments worth 40,4 billion USD. So even though Boeing took the lead thanks to the 777X launch, you can hardly call it a loss for Airbus when you see the amount of extra A380's and A350 they can add to their backlog.

Als Bombardier signed some nice contracts during the show, as well as ATR.

Nice summary, RoMax.

Most of the sales during the first day, leaving only some crumbs for the two following days and nothing at all today...

Still a small correction. For Boeing it is 342 firm and commitments combined (as mentionned), but for Airbus it is 160 combined (142 firm and 18 comitments).

...with the commitments worth an additional 3.6 billion dollars. ;)

The show ended today in pouring rain after a sandstorm yesterday. The hall was closed for safety reasons.

How unlucky can you be having an air show in Dubai and facing both a sandstorm and heavy rains in a few days time xp
