Hello Tommy,

My budget in total was +/- 1000€. So Here I was going to buy The eos 350d. Here he is about 850€ with a 18-55mm lens inclusive. Later, when I learned a bit working with this camera I was thinking to buy the 70-300 mm lens from sigma that costs about +/- 200 € i Think. But with all the German suggestions of good stores, I am planning to go to the shop in Aken (or Aachen in German  ) to check out the prices and stuff so I can compare all the equipment I am going to need. 8)

So my budget in total will be around the 1000€, as it is much money I was suggesting for a cheaper body , but I personally think that quality goes above it all. I'd like my pics to be nice SHARP and surely not GRAINY or BLURRY. Like they are now with my "not ment for spotting camera" fuji S3000

BTW: Tomorrow I am going to the SANICOLE airshow :D

So thanks and regards,

Nick

hi nick ,

the body in aachen cost about

EOS 350 D + EF-S 18-55/3.5-5.6 + 1 GB CF Karte >> in stock 727,00
you can go along with that easy you have the kitlens and a 1 GB card with it .

you have then 270 euro's left for the sigma :D . if you want to buy it in aachen with Ac foto.
Get on the phone and ask for the dutch speaking guy . tell him that you want the cam for the internet price :P

Nick,

A good choice!
Please don't forget to buy a filter for your lens as protection...

Keep in my mind that its the lens that does it, not the body... (and the experienced photographer also)

Good luck in Sanicole!

Regards,

Tommy

Thanks Roy and Tommy ,

But Tommy what kind of filter would you recommend ? And a teleconvertor or not? :?

When you put a teleconvertor on your lense would it affect the quality of the pictures? Or not?

Thanks again ay !!!

thanks ,

Nick

Filter ? the simple UV 0 filter will do. Basically, it's just a slice of glass that protects your lens from scratches.

Converter ? Why do you need that ? You will have a 70-300, which is very good for spotting. A converter will give you images of much lower quality and the Auto-Focus won't work anymore (at least not with the Sigma 70-300, because it's not light-sensitive enough). One advice, stay away from converters when you don't have the more "professional" lenses ...

Thanks. :offtopic: The question now is : "How many will be accepted ?"
