Me too I like getting informed.
But the ideal paper is of course unexisting so I try to diversify. What I really am interested in, is trying to distinguish the different interpretations and priorities given to facts wether you belong to a culture or another.
And as a rule I read/watch the local media whenever I happen to be abroad even if I have only a slight knowledge of the language... if it's really impossible then I try getting a translated version.
And I try not to have the usual "western" attitude believing that their point of view only is what matters and should automatically prevail.
