I wouldn't really agree with you. If you look at SNBA's loadfactor you see that those are continously increasing. On the other hand this means that there are certainly several flights a day which need a greater capacity than the RJ100's.Sure, but planes with a small capacity (135/140/145/170 and maybe some 175/190/195 or 318's) rather than planes with a big capacity (319/320/321/736/73G/738/739 or similar others)

Boeing is thinking about a 717-300X version. It should be a bigger and updated (read modern) version of the current 717-200. All depends in the interest from the customers around the globe. Anyway here is some info about the project from Boeing itself, I already like this plane:Avro wrote:Rumours hey

Boeing [NYSE: BA] today released an artist’s concept of its proposed 717-300X passenger jet, which would answer airlines’ demand for a larger, short-range, high-frequency airplane.
Development and launch of the 717-300X, which has been offered to several airlines, depends on it attracting a sufficient number of orders.
Boeing currently produces the 717-200, which typically has 106 seats and is the world’s best jetliner in its class. The 717-300X would typically carry 130 passengers in a two-class configuration. The 717-300X would be138.3 ft. (42.2 m) long, compared to 124 ft. (37.8 m) for the -200. The -300X would have higher maximum take-off and space limited payload weights, and greater engine thrust than the -200. The -300X also would have a service door behind the wing.
If launched, delivery of the 717-300X is targeted for the second half of 2006.

aircraft's
Well SNBA doesn't realy know wich planes they will choose. For the moment i agree that Embraer is in good position with the ERJ 170. But you have to know that Airbus as still good marks with SNBA (A319's) and it will be more easier to upgrade the pilots with a full Airbus fleet that's the power of Airbus...But i heard that Peter Davies is thinking about the 737NG like the (-600 or -700) but the final decision will be from the adminstration concil...but i can't tell more about it.....

Yep
Yep ! you're right, i forgotted the B717, but for the CRJ, those airplanes are not the type of aircraft for SNBA destinations (number of pax max : 86 for the CRJ900, and also the range)...

Even with increasing LFs, SN BA needs planes of small capacity for mid-day flights or low load destinations.Avro wrote:I wouldn't really agree with you. I agree but I don't think this should be a reason for them, not to have bigger planes like A319's.sn26567 wrote:Even with increasing LFs, SN BA needs planes of small capacity for mid-day flights or low load destinations.Avro wrote:I wouldn't really agree with you.
